Ford Environmental Wind Tunnel
Facilities: Ford Environmental Wind Tunnel
The Ford Australia node of ACART is located at the Ford Proving Ground in Lara, Victoria. It includes two major facilities for vehicle testing: an Emissions Test Cell and an Environmental Wind Tunnel.
Both facilities are certified to ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.
The new Environmental Wind Tunnel is located very close to the Emissions Lab. The team has a long track record in HVAC, both for internal Ford customers as well as for external customers from Australia and overseas. The facility is the most powerful wind tunnel in the southern hemisphere. This high tech facility provides the automotive, off-road and military sectors a controlled and repeatable environment to develop products suitable for all global markets.
It will be correlated with other Ford Wind Tunnels as well as with real world road testing.
