Facilities:
Ford Emissions Test Cell
The Ford Emission Laboratory was first established in 1972 and has a long track record in emissions testing, development and certification, both for internal Ford customers as well as for external customers from Australia and overseas.
The facility is certified to ISO 9000 and ISO 14000. The Emissions Lab is accredited by NATA to ISO 17025 and is approved for performing Petrol & Diesel ADR79/00, 01 & 02 - Type 1 to 6 test procedures (Euro 2, 3 & 4). All other worldwide testing cycles are also available although not NATA accredited.
ACART (Advanced Center for Automotive Research & Testing) is a collaborative venture between the Ford Motor Company of Australia and the University of Melbourne. It is funded in part by the Victorian State Government, through its Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) program.
Including the new ACART facilities, the equipment in the laboratory is available for collaborative projects and includes:
